Description
Pierre Barnard practices business law, particularly in the fields of securities and venture capital. His clientele includes high-technology, biotechnology and natural resources companies. In the course of his practice, Pierre has acquired significant international experience, having represented numerous Canadian corporations in financings in the United States, Asia and Europe, in addition to having represented many natural resources companies with operations in South America, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. He has also negotiated many commercial contracts with foreign corporations.
From 1976 to 1982, Pierre worked for the Department of Justice in Ottawa, where he was assigned to the litigation department of Revenu Canada. He then headed up the tax department of a large Montreal law firm, after which he turned his attention to the securities sector. He joined Langlois Kronström Desjardins in April 2008.
