Hubert Camirand practices primarily in the area of commercial litigation, handling a wide variety of matters, particularly shareholder disputes. He also practices banking law.

A seasoned and inventive pleader, he has successfully represented clients before both civil courts and administrative tribunals.

Because of his considerable experience in litigation file management, he is often called upon to supervise teams of pleaders in complex litigation files.

Hubert advises and represents a variety of clients, several of which operate in the construction industry, for whom he applies a strategic focus aimed at practical and effective dispute resolution. He also represents several firms involved in the development of new technologies, as well as others in the entertainment industry.

Throughout his career, Hubert has given conference presentations on various topics including the enforcement of legal hypothecs in the construction industry, the enforcement of conventional hypothecary security, potential pitfalls in shareholder agreements, directors’ liability and professional liability.

Representative mandates
Hydro Mobile Inc.
In the context of a complex shareholder dispute following the application of a shotgun clause, brought several injunctions to compel the withdrawal of a shareholder. Also defended against an action brought by the withdrawing shareholder to enforce a hypothec on the shares of the operating company.

Represented this French company specialized in porcine genetics in a dispute between the shareholders of a pig breeding company.
