Dimitri Maniatis to Deliver Lecture on Litigation in the Mining Sector

Dimitri Maniatis, partner in the firm Montréal's office, will deliver a presentation on mining law and arbitration in the context of a seminar held in Toronto during the annual convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (“PDAC”). 

Hosted by Behre Dolbear, leading consultants to the mineral industry, the seminar will address topics of interest to participants in the mining industry.  Having successfully represented mining companies in complex litigation arising from their activities, Dimitri will offer his insight and advice on managing litigation risks in the development of a mineral project. The event will be held between March 7 and March 10, 2010.

Tina Hobday, Conference Speaker for the Association of Social Work Boards

Tina Hobday, a partner in the Montréal office of Langlois Kronström Desjardins, was a speaker for the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) at its Spring Education Meeting. The event was held from May 13 to 16 at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina. On Saturday, May 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tina Hobday and ASWB legal advisor Dale Atkinson shared a session entitled Legal Issues Confronting Boards Faced with Shifting Resources.
