Marie Cossette to speak to the Women in the Legal Profession Committee of the Montréal Bar
Marie Cossette will be speaking at a lunch conference organized by the Women in the Legal Profession Committee of the Montréal Bar. The theme of the conference will be "Communicating Effectively Using Your Personality". Marie will discuss the components of an effective communications strategy in a lawyers' work environment, be it within a firm, with colleagues, with clients or before the court. This activity will take place on Wednesday, January 27 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the St. James Club in Montréal and is recognized by the Quebec Bar for the purposes of mandatory continuing legal education.

Marie is known for her involvement as a lawyer in the Gomery Commission (on the sponsorship scandal), the Johnson Commission (on the collapse of the Concorde overpass) and the Poitras Commission (on Quebec's provincial police force).

Tina Hobday, Conference Speaker for the Association of Social Work Boards

Tina Hobday, a partner in the Montréal office of Langlois Kronström Desjardins, was a speaker for the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) at its Spring Education Meeting. The event was held from May 13 to 16 at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina. On Saturday, May 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tina Hobday and ASWB legal advisor Dale Atkinson shared a session entitled Legal Issues Confronting Boards Faced with Shifting Resources.
