Description
Céline Garneau practices both as counsel and litigator in the fields of labour & employment law, bankruptcy & insolvency, family law, wills and estates, and general litigation. She has appeared at all levels of trial and appellate courts and is also a certified mediator for civil, commercial, and family matters. Her experience in focusing on client needs and expectations over the years has allowed her to develop strong negotiating, strategic planning and other invaluable skills.
Céline was one of a number of lawyers defending the interests of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in the urea formaldehyde foam insulation (UFFI) case. It proved to be the most complex product liability case in North American history, with a trial lasting more than seven years in Superior Court. She has also been involved in a number of mediation and other alternative dispute resolution cases.
Céline draws on these diverse areas of practice to find efficient and innovative solutions tailored to each client’s particular situation. She also sits on several boards of directors.
