Description
From 1975 to 1983, Jean Grégoire acquired invaluable experience for his maritime law practice by serving as a crew member onboard several commercial vessels. His maritime practice encompasses both litigation and commercial matters. Jean is also involved in the litigious and commercial aspects of the energy sector, including oil & gas and the carriage and sale of bulk commodities.

Jean has received a LexisNexis® Martindale-Hubbell BV® rating, a testament to the excellence of his practice and experience in his field. He is included in the prestigious The Best Lawyers in Canada 2012 directory.

Acted for several shipowners and underwriters in liability cases in both the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal.

Litigation on a contract of sale and conversion of ships
Acted for a Canadian shipowner in a complex arbitration concerning late delivery of a ship following its conversion for a particular trade.

Action for latent defects
Acted for a corporation active in the energy industry in litigation pertaining to latent defects and manufacturing defects in complex machinery.

Contracts of carriage
Advisor to several Canadian companies in matters involving contracts of carriage.
