Description
Alexander is a litigation lawyer with a bourgeoning practice in cultural property and art law. He was recently on sabbatical to London, United Kingdom, where he worked with the renowned British litigator Norman Palmer QC CBE. During that period, he worked on files relating to restitution claims for looted and stolen antiquities and works of art, presented before a parliamentary group at Westminster and developed an impressive relationship with a number of solicitors, curators and directors in London’s museum and cultural domain.
Alexander has already gained a wide experience in Montreal in matters relating to judicial review of decisions by administrative tribunals and labour commissioners, as well as the homologation and annulments of commercial arbitration awards.
Aside from the practice of law, Alexander is an avid writer, having co-authored Kickstart: How Successful Canadians Got Started (Dundurn, 2008), a book based on interviews conducted with some of the best-known people from across the country, aiming to inspire young people to pursue their goals and dreams.
