Description
Rebecca Karavelas has been a paralegal at Langlois Kronström Desjardins since March 2003. She works on civil litigation and commercial files, and assists lawyers in financings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations. Rebecca audits corporate minute books as part of the due diligence process and keeps them up to date for the firm’s clients. She also performs manual and on-line registry searches at both the federal and provincial levels, analyzes the results and prepares search reports for the purposes of legal opinions issued by the firm.
She also does all the legwork required to obtain permits and licences for businesses, such as occupation permits and liquor licences.
In the litigation department, Rebecca conducts case-law, doctrinal and legislative searches, and assists lawyers in the preparation of books of authorities and conference presentations.
In addition, she has a thorough understanding of debt collection.
