Yan Paquette practices primarily in the areas of litigation and financial services.
He has specific expertise in the following areas of the financial markets: insurance, securities, compliance, distribution of financial products and services, registration, inspections and investigations, and civil, disciplinary and penal proceedings.
Yan developed this expertise prior to joining the firm, by occupying various positions within the Autorité des marchés financiers, Quebec’s financial markets regulator, including director of self-regulatory bodies, indemnification and distribution practices, director of inspections & investigations, and through court appearances on behalf of the Autorité.
Besides representing various financial-services industry stakeholders in litigious matters, he also advises corporate entities on governance, the design and distribution of financial products and services, and regulatory compliance.
