Québec City, April 12, 2010 – Law firm Langlois Kronström Desjardins is proud to be associated, as principal partner, with the Coupe du Doyen 2010 mooting competition taking place from April 12th to 16th at Laval University. Following the competition, the firm will be awarding $3,100 in scholarships to finalists who distinguished themselves with their pleading skills.
The finalists
Prizes will be awarded for best appellant factum and best respondent factum, and to the best pleaders. The final moot to decide the best team will take place on April 16th at 4:00 p.m. and will be followed by a cocktail reception hosted by Langlois Kronström Desjardins in Room 2419 of the Charles de Koninck Pavilion, where the prizes will be awarded.
Among the lawyers acting as judges for the competition are Jean-Francois Pichette, Sébastien Laprise and bâtonnier Michel Jolin of Langlois Kronström Desjardins. Several judges are also participating.
