Québec City, April 17, 2009 — The Langlois Kronström Desjardins law firm congratulates the winners of the 2009 Coupe du Doyen held April 6 to 8 at Université Laval’s Pavillon De Koninck. Langlois Kronström Desjardins awarded $3,100 in scholarships to the finalists, in recognition of their talents as litigators.
The winners
Jeanne Pagé-Larivière and Catherine Cloutier won for best appellant's memorandum, and Vincent Bergeron and Pierre-Olivier Paquet won for best respondent's memorandum. Pierre-Olivier Paquet and Andréanne Boisclair were named best litigators during the elimination round. Andréanne Boisclair also made it to the semi-final round. Finally, Marjorie Pageau came in second in the final round, while Andréanne Boisclair and Jean-Philippe Beaudet were named best team in the final. The Coupe du Doyen ended with a cocktail award ceremony on April 8
Attorneys acting as judges during the Coupe du Doyen included Guy De Blois, Guy Leblanc, Valérie Lemaire, Nathalie Dubé, Jean-Francois Pichette, and Patricia Dupuis from Langlois Kronström Desjardins. Several judges from the Court of Appeal, the Superior Court, and the Court of Quebec also took part in the event.
