Langlois Kronström Desjardins welcomes Julie Samson
Québec City, September 10 2008—The law firm of Langlois Kronström Desjardins is pleased to announce the arrival of Julie Samson, who will be joining one of Quebec’s most seasoned occupational health and safety teams.

Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1996, Julie Samson holds a licentiate in laws from the University of Ottawa and a graduate degree in corporate law from Université Laval.

Julie Samson boasts solid hands-on experience as a legal advisor on occupational health and safety for a leading worldwide provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, and human capital consulting services, where she advised and represented employers in all aspects of their cases before Commission de santé et sécurité au travail (CSST) and Commission des lésions professionnelles (CLP). Her experience has also led her to set up prevention mutuals.

“Julie’s experience on the ground adds depth to the topnotch services we provide our clients with respect to occupational health and safety. We are delighted to welcome her to our team,” said Bernard Cliche, partner and head of the labour and administrative law practice group at Langlois Kronström Desjardins.

Julie Samson’s academic career also enabled her to gain experience abroad. She completed an internship in Washington, D.C. studying international free trade agreements in detail, took part in a Canadian and Mexican law student exchange program looking at various aspects of NAFTA, and participated in the Students Working Abroad Program, which took her to London for several months.

Highly involved in her community, Julie Samson has sat on two boards of directors and taken an active role in the proceedings of two Quebec Bar committees on issues affecting women and the profession.

Julie Samson will be based at the Lévis office.
