Montréal, October 1, 2008—Langlois Kronström Desjardins’s Marie Cossette has been chosen to join biologist and renowned explorer Jean Lemire, NASA aerospace engineer Simon Nolet, champion freestyle skier Pierre-Alexandre Rousseau, and actress Karine Vanasse in an advertising campaign for Commission scolaire des Chênes in the RCM of Drummondville, her hometown.
This program aims to promote public education in the region by highlighting well-known local graduates as inspirational role models for students. The campaign, including billboards displayed around town, radio spots, and local newspaper coverage, is slated to run until mid-October. Marie Cossette figures prominently in the campaign, appearing on a billboard located on the grounds of the Marie-Rivier school, where she attended high school.
Marie Cossette has become a household name in recent years due to her highly-publicized roles as inquiry lawyer on the Gomery Commission (federal sponsorship scandal), and on the Johnson Commission (Concorde overpass collapse).
“This partnership is a perfect fit for me, given Langlois Kronström Desjardins’s existing commitment to education, and also because we support excellence and achievement. I’m delighted to contribute to inspiring and motivating youth in their studies,” said Marie Cossette.
