Montréal, December 5, 2008 - Langlois Kronström Desjardins is pleased to welcome Pierre Brossard to the firm as senior counsel and strategic adviser. He will begin practicing at the firm on January 14, 2009 and will be based in Montréal.
Until recently, Mr. Brossard was senior executive vice president at Desjardins Group, where he helped identify issues and position the Group, while overseeing management of strategic projects. He was also vice president of governmental relations, legal affairs and compliance, international affairs, and communications and public relations.
Throughout his career, he has held strategic and operational senior management positions in the financial, cooperative, and educational fields.

Pierre Brossard began his career as a lawyer in private practice before becoming general secretary of the Jacques Cartier School Board, where he was also in charge of legal affairs. His career continued at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) where he was general secretary in charge of legal affairs and labour relations, and subsequently the university’s executive vice rector. Mr. Brossard then moved to the financial sector as vice president, institutional affairs with La Financière Coopérants before joining Desjardins Group.
