Description
Julie Samson obtained a degree in Civil Law at the University of Ottawa and a graduate diploma in business law at Laval University.
Julie acquired solid practical experience as a legal advisor in occupational health & safety with a major world provider of risk management, insurance & reinsurance brokerage, and human capital consulting services, where she advised and represented employers from various fields in all aspects of their OHS cases before the Commission de santé et sécurité au travail (occupational health & safety board) and the Commission des lésions professionnelles (industrial accidents board). Julie’s past work has also involved her in the setup of prevention mutuals.
Julie’s academic career afforded her a number of opportunities to study abroad. She secured an internship in Washington D.C. where she closely studied international free trade agreements, took part in an exchange program for Canadian and Mexican law students to deepen her knowledge of NAFTA and participated in the Students Working Abroad Program, which led her to spend several months in London.
